Research Templates
Community Design Kits & Files
Maintained by Figma Community
Maintained, free Figma files: platform UI kits, design-system starters, wireframe libraries, and research and workshop templates.
Why it matters
Starting a design system or a research synthesis from a maintained community file removes days of setup and inherits conventions that reviewers already recognise.
Key principles
- Prefer files published by the platform owner (Google, Apple, Microsoft) over third-party recreations - they track releases.
- Check the updated date before adopting; abandoned kits carry deprecated components.
- Detach and rename when forking into client work so upstream updates never silently change your file.
- Community research templates give you a defensible synthesis structure before you have your own.
