Separate trend signal from pattern evidence

Inspiration sources and pattern sources are kept in separate buckets, so aesthetic trends never get adopted as usability decisions.

How to run it

  1. 01

Treat Dribbble, Behance, and Instagram as trend signal only - they show unshipped concepts with no usability constraint.

  2. 02

Require a shipped-product example plus a principle citation before any pattern enters your system.

  3. 03

When a trend is genuinely compelling, prototype and test it rather than adopting it on appearance.

  4. 04

Record rejected trends and the reason, so the same idea does not recur every quarter.

Anti-pattern this prevents

A glassmorphic dashboard shipped from a Dribbble shot, failing contrast requirements and confusing every user over forty.
